This morning we had the trainer meeting. It was basically just an open discussion from everybody about what they think makes for a good trainer, based on the examples set by our trainers. Then we talked a little bit about how to effectively study and train together. Then we went and had lunch before we went back for testimony meeting and companion assignments.
My companion's name is Elder Walker, he's from Alpine, Utah. Some other stuff about him, he was home schooled for half of high school, he loves hiking and exploring, and even likes ultimate frisbee some too. He's the fourth child of five, he had two older siblings serve missions. One in Provo, and another who is in SLC for two transfers to see if he can get approval to go out somewhere else. He seems pretty cool and I think we'll get along just fine.
It's great to be back in my own apartment after spending the past few days in Elder Ferrin's apartment. It was also a surprise because I came back from the trainer meeting and our apartment was so clean, I'm not even sure how they did it because it was still so messy this morning when we left. Overall, I'm super excited about this transfer and training and we'll see where it goes. I e-mailed Ace to ask his advice about training and I've talked to plenty of other missionaries about new comps and training and all that stuff. It should be a lot of fun!
